Nominations<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This past Saturday night, the visual effects branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts &amp; Sciences held its 2015 \u201cVFX Bake-off,\u201d the annual event where members view presentations of the top 10 visual effects-driven films of the past year prior to voting for the final five nominees.&nbsp;A long but fun night, the nearly four-hour event, held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, CA, featured five-minute presentations followed by 10-minute screenings of selected finished shots from each of the
