Delve into the Making of Blender Short, \u2018Cosmos Laundromat\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SIGGRAPH 2016 Computer Animation Festival Jury\u2019s Choice winner Cosmos Laundromat \u2013 First Cycle<\/em> was developed as a pilot by the Blender Foundation for what plans to be the first open-source animated feature film production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally code-named \u201cProject Gooseberry\u201d by its Blender team based in the Netherlands, the 10-minute CG-animated short film was produced by Ton Roosendaal, and follows Franck, a depressed sheep, who sees only one way out of his boring life until he meets with the quirky salesman Victor, who offers him any life he ever wanted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a desolate island, a suicidal sheep named Franck meets his fate\u2026in the form of a quirky salesman named Victor, who offers him the gift of a lifetime. The gift is many lifetimes, actually, in many different worlds — each lasting just a few minutes. In the sequel to the pilot, Franck will find a new reason to live\u2026in the form of a bewitching female adventurer named Tara, who awakens his long-lost lust for life. But can Franck keep up with her?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
