JENNIFER WOLFE

Los Angeles-based content strategist & technology storyteller

ABOUT ME

Hi there. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re looking for someone who understands the intricacies of technology and can translate them into compelling stories. I’m Jennifer Wolfe, a seasoned media strategist and content development specialist, and a passionate advocate for Technology Storytelling in all its forms.

Bringing 15+ years of experience in Media & Entertainment, my career has been dedicated to the intersection of entertainment and technology. I got my start at the American Film Institute, overseeing the Director & CEO’s office and serving as liaison to the AFI Board of Trustees, where I contributed to AFI’s prestigious Life Achievement Awards, televised AFI Awards Gala, and other high-profile events.

Jennifer Wolfe | Los Angeles-based media strategist & technology storyteller

From serving at one of the country’s preeminent cultural institutions, I moved into public relations, working with companies like entertainment marketing behemoth IMG. In 2006, I signed on with Raz PR, specializing in media relations and marketing for creative companies and technology developers in advertising, design, production, post production, animation, and visual effects. Since then, I’ve developed broad-scope knowledge of M&E business and technologies, including visual storytelling technology, creative post production, and digital content creation and distribution.

Building on my experience in PR, I embraced the art of Technology Storytelling. More than just a buzzword, it’s the core of my approach. I believe that every technological advancement has a story to tell, and my role is to bring that story to life. Whether I’m working with technology developers, creative shops, or production studios, I strive to demystify the tech behind the scenes and make it accessible, engaging, and relevant. This involves translating the latest trends and technologies for a broad audience, weaving them into narratives that showcase their impact across Media & Entertainment.

My transition into journalism in 2011 allowed me to further hone this craft. Writing for respected trade publications such as American Cinematographer, IndieWire and Variety, I’ve explored the cutting edge of production technologies, always with a focus on how these innovations are shaping the future of storytelling. At Animation World Network, where I eventually became editor-in-chief, I combined strategic oversight with a passion for showcasing the artistry and technology of the medium.

Today, as a writer and media strategist, I continue to champion Technology Storytelling in all that I do. Whether I’m crafting thought leadership pieces, developing strategic content plans, or consulting on media projects, my goal is to transform technical concepts into compelling narratives that help brands and creators forge deeper connections with their audiences.

Whether you need strategic communications, insightful content, or simply a fresh perspective on your next project, I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a note, and let’s chat.
